OpenSocial, bares watching: Which business model will rule the roost?

As we work to extend the functionality of our portal with external resources and applications, the answer to this question is important.  In all reality there's probably room for both MS and Google; and we will choose functionality that is applicable to our needs and can be supported (integrated), but it makes sense to align current efforts and identify priorities as best we can in order to insure agility when opportunity presents itself.   Here's a good article from eweek on direction of OpenSocial.
