Luminis IV and uPortal

We’ll be upgrading to Luminis IV as soon as possible. I’m looking forward to the improvements in the user interface. We’re getting a glimpse of some of the possibilities by reviewing the online tour based on uPortal 2.3.3 put together by Virginia Tech .

As I reviewed their presentation, I was immediately reminded of  the many shortcomings of SCT’s current Luminis offering. I should point out that Luminis is also based on the uPortal framework. My frustration stems from the fact that the larger SCT grows, the harder it is for them to remain agile and responsive and in turn to create a product that is agile as the rest of the web world at present.     Good points. Luminis IV from SunGardHE, should be out in Q1 of ‘07 and should allow the PSU portal to catch up with VT’s effort.
